People of Iran, we hear you. Know that your struggle against tyranny bears witness. Know that your desire for liberty is praised; and your entrance into democracy, joyously anticipated. Your cries do not ring out, unheard (your oppressors are seen for what they are). America's government may not appreciate the Iranian ambition - but her people do. We will welcome you with open arms and teary eyes, rejoicing that you, too, will someday inspire those in bondage as we had for you. You have our attention and our daily prayers. Though your struggle has never been easy, your liberation approaches. Iranian democrats will prevail. You are no strangers to adversity, and neither are Americans. Look to our own independence, won against all odds: and then look to your own. We await you presence at our side. That the human spirit speaks from all corners of the earth to frustrate the talons of evil, we are proud.
